Searches and Watching

We perform searches on the existing rights in the field of patents and designs. In trade mark matters we conduct searches on the existence of identical and similar trade marks. The purpose of a search is to assist a client in evaluating the legal and financial risks of protection of its right (patent, design, trade mark). A search helps a client to identify trends in technology and to prepare its development strategy more easily.

It is important that a trade mark owner watches whether somebody else wants to register or already uses an identical or a similar trademark in the market, which could infringe the rights of an earlier registered trademark. We offer our clients watching services, i.e. upon a request of our clients we check publications of new trademarks in Slovene and foreign databases/gazettes thus enabling the clients to prevent the infringement of their rights at an early stage by timely filing oppositions or other actions against younger marks.
